"I like the interaction of many colors. For those people who stop and take the time to look at them, I want the paintings to draw the viewer in...to give the illusion of depth, movement, and to remain interesting on many levels...so one can go back to the piece again and again.
It's been observed that these paintings must take a long time to do. They do. But, it's enjoyable meditative work, with no underpainting or planning. They just seem to happen on their own. This is also why they aren't titled. I think T.S. Elliot mentioned something about a cat having its own name for itself which we'll never know. So, too, these paintings."
